Dr. Ilenia Coln Mendoza, Associate Professor of Art History, Latin American Studies, and Womens and Gender Studies at the University of Central Florida, will examine Mannerist and Baroque depictions of some of art historys most notorious women. Infant story times are structured differently because the needs of babies are so different! Toddlers who are brought to this story time will have a special role as well. Thanks to the Friends of the Library, this story time has new books and new developmentally appropriate toys. Parents and babies are welcome to stay for play and explore following the story time.

The popular 13 piece Mount Dora Jazz Band was formed in 2008 by local drummer Ted Innes. Consisting of professional musicians from the Central Florida area, the band focuses on the great jazz orchestras playing the Great American Songbook, including tunes from Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, Michael Buble, Harry Connick, Jr. and the popular 1970's horn band rock tunes from Chicago. Using your own iPad and/or iPhone, learn how to take photographs, edit photographs, and save and store photographs. You'll learn how to use all the features of Photos as well as create a Slideshow from images on your device. Learn how to:
Attach your photos to emails and save photos from your emails.
Attach your photos to text messages (and save those you receive).
Assign photos to names in your Contacts
Create your own photo album, arrange photos in your album, delete photos and entire albums
Crop your photos, adjust brightness and adjust colors
Use photos for your opening wallpaper and background of Apps
Write on photos, names, arrows, circles, etc.
Even if you've owned your iPad or iPhone for awhile, you'll pick up storage management, editing, and other tips.

What is a Girls Who Code Club?
Tuesdays at 6:00 pm, beginning January 8, 2019. Girls Who Code Clubs, which are modeled after the nationwide program, are meant for girls to join a sisterhood of supportive peers and role models, and use computer science to change the world.
