DDUX helps you find events in towns you may visit or live in.
What does DDUX stand for?
Sorry we don't have a more exciting answer but it doesn't stand for anything. Please feel free to invent
your own meanings and send the good ones to
customersupport@ddux.com so we can post them on the lunch room
bulletin board.
How do you pronounce DDUX?
Miss Weatherby, my first grade teacher, says to pronounce it DEE-ducks. And to always wash your hands.

When will DDUX show events in my city?
We want to provide coverage for all cities!
Please mail your city suggestions to customersupport@ddux.com
and we will let you know when your city is supported. Secret answer: in the near future you will be able to add your own cities to the list!
Can DDUX add coverage for a new topic?
We want to provide coverage for many topics but while we are still in beta stage we can only support a
limited number of topics.
Please mail your topic suggestions to customersupport@ddux.com
and we will let you know when we add that topic or a related topic.
(Don't worry - we are nice people and won't do anything else with your email address.) Super secret answer: in the near future you will be able to create your own custom topics!
The Calendar feature isn't working like I expect!
Oh those pesky Calendar integrations! See if any of the following answers are helpful.
The .ics file is saved to my disk and doesn’t automatically open my Calendar.
In Chrome, the file name (ddux_event.ics) will show up in a bar at the bottom
of the browser window.
Click the little arrow beside the name and select "Always open files of this type"
from the menu.
Next time it will automatically open your Calendar.
In Safari, there is no way to automatically open the file. The ddux_event.ics
file will be in your Downloads folder.
Double-click on the file and it will open Calendar for you and
prompt you to add the event.
In Firefox, the first time you download a .ics file it will ask you if you want to use the
CalendarFileHandler. Tell it yes and select the box to "always do this".
Another way is to open the FireFox Preferences window, go to Applications, and set it to use
CalendarFileHandler for ICS files, as shown in the screen shot below.
Why are the event times on my Calendar different from the times on the event description?
Your Calendar uses the timezone of your computer. If the event is in a different timezone
the calendar entry will use your local time so it may be offset by a few hours. For example,
a 7:30pm concert in Chicago will appear on your Calendar at 5:30pm if you are in Los
Angeles.
Can I list my event on your site?
We will soon be able to accept listings of events that match our set of categories. Please send email
to customersupport@ddux.com to check on availability.
Social
