Friday, Sept. 15 is the last day residents can place household garbage in loose plastic bags along the curb. Beginning Monday September 18, residents should place all household garbage, including garbage in plastic bags, in the gray garbage cart or the green and yellow recycling cart. Plastic garbage bags will not be picked up from the curb after today. In anticipation of restarting recycling routes on Monday, October 2, next week (Sept. 18-22) is the last week residents can use the green and yellow recycling carts for excess household garbage. Beginning Monday, September 25, all household garbage must be placed inside the gray carts. Also beginning next week, yard waste pickup resumes. Place yard waste in paper bags, cardboard boxes, or old trash cans at the curb by 7am on your scheduled yard waste pickup day. No yard waste will be picked up in plastic bags. Repeat, no yard waste will be picked up in plastic bags. The City hopes to restart the recycle pickup routes on Monday, October 2.
